Pre-Schoolers Readiness Program
A 90-minute session (10-week block) is designed for 8 children to give your child a comprehensive learning experience. Here’s what your child can expect from their sessions:
Literacy:
The literacy component of the session focuses on developing your child’s reading and writing skills. Your child will learn how to trace and write with the correct pencil grip, identify and write letters in the alphabet with proper letter formation, understand sound/letter relationships, phonological awareness, and patterns. They will also build a vocabulary, develop their communication and listening skills, and write their own name.
Maths/Logic:
The Maths/Logic component will help your child develop their mathematical and critical thinking skills. They will learn to identify and write numbers, count forwards and backwards, sequence numbers, and identify shapes, colors, and patterns. The sessions will also help them use mathematical vocabulary and develop their critical thinking skills.
Art Therapy:
Art therapy is an integral part of the sessions as it focuses on nurturing the development of your child’s social and emotional skills. With the help of our psychologist, your child will participate in creative activities that will help them improve their fine motor skills, writing, emotional expression, and regulation. They will also be able to explore their senses through art.
Skills:
In addition to the learning components, your child will also develop several important skills. These include learning behaviors such as organization, cooperation, communication, independence, self-regulation, and persistence. Your child will also develop physical confidence, fine motor skills, and social skills with their peers and teachers. They will learn to respect their teachers and peers, follow instructions and routines, speak, listen, and ask questions. They will also develop responsibility for their own behavior and belongings and learn independence for their personal care, such as using the bathroom, washing their hands, and unpacking their bags.
