TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Tutoring, School Readiness and Art therapy Sessions
Goals of Tutoring at Prosperous Learners
The goals of tutoring at Prosperous Learners are to determine the areas of your child’s difficulties, improve your child’s competence in these areas, to help your child become independent learners, and to build upon the success of your child, thus improving and building upon your child’s confidence and self-esteem.
Student Expectations: To arrive on time and attend tutoring sessions as scheduled, to give the tutor a minimum of 24-hour advanced notice if unable to attend the session as scheduled, to bring all necessary books and materials to each session, and to actively participate in each session, asking questions as needed.
Teacher Responsibilities: The teacher will arrive on time for each session and will give the student a minimum of 24 hours advance notice if unable to attend the scheduled session. Prosperous Learners will conduct a pre assessment prior the commencement of sessions to target and create an individual learning plan for each students learning style and needs. In order to help build a program that will meet your child’s unique learning needs, Prosperous Learners will also carry out informal continuous assessments throughout the year.
Payment: Payment is due in full before the scheduled start session. Payment can be made by PayPal or after pay through Prosperous Learners website. All sessions are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
Changes to Fees. Fees may change from time to time on 30 (thirty) days’ notices. Fee changes will not affect or change Lesson Packages already paid for.
Cancellations and Rescheduling:
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, provide at least 24-hour notice or sessions will be forfeit. Missed lessons without at least 24 hour notice cannot be rescheduled, which means payments for missed lessons are not reusable, refundable, or transferable. Your cancellation fee might be partially or entirely applied to future services in the event of a genuine, unavoidable emergency. Please be advised there will be no makeup sessions for readiness classes. Teachers may occasionally need to reschedule a lesson due to illness or professional engagement. If a teacher cancels a lesson, make-up sessions can be rescheduled within the term.
REFUND POLICY
We offer refunds for 7 days from date of first lesson. However, this only applies if no subsequent lessons have been undertaken. Should you request a refund less than 7 days from the date of your first lesson due to medical reasons, and you provide a medical certificate for your child, we will happily provide you with a credit note for future services. DROP OFF & COLLECTION: Students are to arrive and leave at the agreed-upon times. If the student arrives late, the tutoring session will still end as scheduled. Parent or guardian must drop off and pick up all children from the center. Please let us know by email or text before the lesson begins if another adult will be picking up your child.
